On the Sunnier Side

...we get very different kinds of gardens -- gardens in which we can plant roses.

This is our first year of roses. We lost the white miniature over winter, the yellow miniature produced nice insect-eaten flowers earlier this summer, but the red miniature did just fine:

As did the Pink Knockout:

...the day before Chemotherapy is difficult to describe...

...these photos aren't so much for anyone but me...

Be well.

Dear Diana,

Thinking of you. May all go well tomorrow.

Is this the poem you were thinking about in an earlier blog?

Monday's Child (Nursery Rhyme)
Author: Unknown

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child must work for a living,
But the child that's born on the Sabbath day,
I fair and wise and good and gay. (Diana's middle name)

Love from your cousin,
Carol Fox

That makes us ponder what day of the week we were born on. I'm thinking of you today, sending infusions of karma, bad jokes, puns and whatever else works.

I'm a Thursday's Child, like dp. Today I am spiritually traveling all the way to Iowa.....

Cranium Man, search "perpetual calendar" to find a site where you can plug in the month and year of your birth to see what day it was!
I see you are not dyslexic today...

Thanks, Cousin, that is indeed the rhyme I was talking about.

And, thanks to NancyTurtle for the reminder about the perpetual calendar.

On what day were the rest of us born? Does the rhyme seem to fit you?

Why is the verse called a Nursery Rhyme and not just a poem? *ponders*

..."far to go" *nods* ...that seems to fit me better than some of the others. *grins*

...although Carol's right, I did get the 'gay' as well *heh*

C-Man: whatever it was, it got me away from chemo and toward radiation *sighs* Got me new drugs for pain management. Left me feeling as exhausted as I've felt in a long while *heavy sigh*

Today is starting out very slowly...

Make the best weekend!

When I read "Diana Gay" I hear Auntie 'Rie's voice (or Diana imitating Auntie 'Rie).
