The news is not so good -- dp still has vertigo and nausea and feels absolutely awful. I'm hoping that this is swelling from the surgery mimicking the swelling of the tumor, and that it will subside soon. This is not really much solace to Diana right now, though. She is pretty beat up, but she's still better this evening than she was this morning. The kitchen serves an Italian Ice that she likes, so I've stashed a bunch of them in the freezer. She's still on a liquid diet, but she is eating better. Still she's happiest when she's sleeping, though.
She had the CT yesterday afternoon, and a follow-up MRI last night. A resident came in and looked at her stitches this afternoon, and everything looks good. Now if we can just convince dp of that...

Dear Kevin and Diana,
I'm sad to hear today's update. I hope your theory about the vertigo is correct. After going through the surgery, you would hope that the dizziness would at least go away. I hope her body mends while she's sleeping. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Please tell her we're thinking about her a lot.
Love,
Carol and Fred
Donnamarie says Diana's not wanting to talk to anyone is not unusual after surgery. And I would think the physical improvement would be slow, meaning it's nothing to worry about and frustrating as h*ll. If she is sleeping alot that is an improvement already after all the weeks of insomnia she went thru!
When Kevin and I talked last night, I came away feeling like there's progress, but it's slow. Heaven help her, she's got a hole in her head! It'll be good to get her back to da Woods.
...from the woods of Tennessee, dd and michael are checking in when the wifi works. it's very beautiful and warm (got up to 60 something in the sun during our 6 mile hike yesterday).
sending you love and wishes for a speedier recovery, starting right now, or sooner, if possible.
